Engineer of Record for the structural design for a two-level underground passenger station for the Bay Area Rapid Transit System.
The station was designed to strict project-specific structural and geotechnical criteria for cut-and-cover tunnel design. Station design included accommodation of large-scale ventilation equipment, a traction power substation, and control and communications equipment.
Mr. Hicks provided an optimized structural design for a rapid construction schedule (while with Faye Bernstein and Associates).
